A medial branch nerve block is a diagnostic procedure used to determine the source of an individual’s pain. Anesthetic is injected near small medial nerves connected to a specific facet joint. Typically several levels of the spine are injected in one procedure. If the patient experiences marked pain relief immediately after the injection, then the facet joint is determined to be the source of the patient’s pain and if that pain is alleviated for an appropriate duration, they may be a candidate for a subsequent procedure to provide more long-term pain relief.

Legal funding is not a loan, it is non-recourse funding on a plaintiff’s claim. That means if the case is lost or not settled, Rockpoint is not owed any funds.
